Collector Statement:

“STAMPS! (but the fun kind), is a shared collection.  To us, the collection itself has never been about understanding the history of the items or delving into the esoteric facts about them. Rather, we have found that this collection is a representation of our relationship and marriage – a visually appealing timeline where each stamp holds a shared memory.   

Our collection started while we were still dating. We both have a clear memory of the day this collection started. As normal, we were picking a local antique store and happened across a wallpaper stamp. We had no idea what we were looking at, but we found the stamp visually appealing and quickly purchased it as its size would neatly cover several nail holes left by Blake after a failed attempt at hanging a picture. As time passed, we found ourselves with less wall space, more nail holes, and even more stamps. We found that our relationship blossomed over this shared interest. Collecting helped us fall in love. "
