A refreshed Native Cultures gallery in Iowa Hall invites visitors to connect more closely with Iowa’s earliest peoples through updated interpretation, new objects, and collaboration.

The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History has received a $750,000 Save America’s Treasures grant from the National Park Service to support preservation of the historic Laysan Island Cyclorama, a rare 1914 exhibition that immerses visitors in the ecology of Laysan, an atoll in the Northwest Hawaiian Islands.
